My recent shopping escapade can be recollected from here.
I wanted to bake something really nice from my ready made samosa sheets.
The perfect combination of cheese and palak came to my mind, I was already imagining the aroma and the melted cheese with the crunchy samosa cover :)
I sauted finely chopped onion in oil, added garlic, finely chopped palak.
Seasoned with thyme, oregano, fresh Italian basil leaves, salt and some pepper powder.
Added 1/2 cup of milk and then added the grated cheese. stirred well. Turned the gas off.
(If it turns too watery add 1- 2 tsp of corn flour)
Prepared the samosa sheets and folded them into neat parcels, brushed some butter on top and between the layers of the parcel. Set them in a greased tray and baked for 15 mins turning the sides after 5 mins to check for color. They were crispy and light from the outside and had a very flavourful and cheesy stuffing.
Spoonfuls of the palak(spinach) and cheese stuffing neatly folded up in the samosa sheets
Am going to use these samosa sheets for many more recipes and a lot of ideas are already popping in my head!
